THE 2021 ANDREW MENTIS FUNDRAISING WAS LAUNCHED WITH ENTHUSIASM

Vice-Captain, Rudi Nel, officially launched his 2021 Andrew Mentis Nomads Foundation fundraising initiative on Sunday, 23 May following the monthly game at Skukuza Golf Club.

The annual fundraising initiative aims to host various charity initiatives and it is the duty of the Vice-Captain to coordinate the fundraising events and to select qualifying beneficiaries to support. It is one of the most important objectives and our reason to be associated with Nomads Golf and collectively we raise funds for charitable purposes and for recognising those less fortunate than ourselves.

The 2021 Lowveld Nomads Andrew Mentis Golf Day will be held on Sunday, 14th November at Mbombela Golf Club, so save the date for this exciting day!

The Committee, under Chairmanship of Rudi Nel was announced and are already hard at work to make this a memorable year. In no particular order, the following members have indicated their willingness to assist:

Greg Rattray, Jason Davis, Albert Hattingh, Alec Blair, Arthur Douglass, Don Pearce, Puso Maloka & Johan Janse van Rensburg.

The beneficiaries for the year was announced and we are proud to be able to support them.

Nelspruit Hospice is a non-profit organisation that provides quality home-based care to people with life threatening illnesses. They have identified several items of medical equipment needed to provide much-needed care to the community.

Paediatric Care Africa is a non-profit organisation that provides medical care to children. They need medical equipment as they respond and attend to medical outreaches in far-flung informal settlements where no medical facilities exist.

Warriors of Wheels is a non-profit organization that raise funds to obtain wheelchairs, standing frames and walkers to less privileged special needs children. We would like to assist them by donating wheelchairs.
